Blog 5 Why should we be moral?

The question posed in the book is why should we act morally. It isn't something many people think about so rather than ask the question no one has a ready answer for i ask
why ARE we moral, that is human morallity comes from some source and i want to know what it is.

My view for this question is that our morality is a part of the social reasoning our brain computes every second that we need it. This takes a step away from the traditional belief that are morals are religious standards that we have learned from our parents our place of worship and ultimately from a higher being of holiness. This also agrees strongly with the theory of evolution and survival of the fittest.
